IMC Wins A Second ‘Green Award’
IMC has won the association for Organics Recycling’s (AFOR) prestigious ‘Research & Development’ Award 2009 for its Food Waste Recycling solution.
Introduced in 2001, the annual Awards showcase excellence and innovation across the composting industry. This year’s awards were announced at AFOR’s annual national conference on 27 January at the National Motorcycle Museum in the West Midlands.
The accolade recognises IMC’s pioneering work with Imperial College, London, in researching and establishing a landmark solution in reducing volumes of food waste disposal to landfill.
Project Success

Launch Of Comenda XLC Container & Dishwasher
Caterers can tackle dirty plates, cutlery, glasses, cups, trays and cookware with the XLC Comenda integrated washing system.
Fitted with a two-pump multi-pressure system, the machine is claimed to clean even the most soiled bakeware, gastronorm containers and pans.
A rinse-control device maintains the water temperature at 85°C and the machine is compatible with the advanced telediagnostic system, which enables the dishwasher to send a report via SMS to a technician for speedy repairs.
